Another shot of the crew on deck just aft of the bridge. The man in the center with the hat on is Ron Exell TM1, and to his left (our right) is Walter R Howell, Jr RT1.
The open hatch to the right is the After Battery Hatch, which leads down into Crew's Mess.
The tube in the center foreground is an ammunition scuttle used to bring the 5-inch shells from below decks to the gun, which was located just aft of this point.
