The Departure, February 28, 1997

The first picture shows Torsk as she is leaving the pier in the Inner Harbor. She is riding about 3 feet lighter at the stern as a result of her tanks being pumped free of 30 year old water and fuel oil. The tanks were also checked to certify them as gas free in preparation for welding at the shipyard.

Torsk has just completed the turn out of her berth, and is preparing to head down the channel.

Heading down the channel for the 2 hour journey to Bethlehem Steel Sparrow's Point shipyard.
