Submarine Radio Room Reactivation 2006
On April 29-30, 2006 Torsk participated in the annual Submarine Memorial Radio Room event.
The report from Nick:
"I heard on the SVARA reflector that Cod, Cobia, Albacore, and
we had about the same experience this weekend == really bad propagation. We all
seemed to hear one other boat and had about 60 contacts. Our boat was the
Albacore, and we had 55 contacts. States were WI MI IN OH PA NC MO TX OK AR for
the most part. We're at the bottom of the sun spot cycle
and not much is happening in HF. The folks who did hear us gave us good signal
reports, so the antenna is still working well.
