Torpedomen having fun! John Sigler (left) and Ray Stone check out the after tubes for leaks. The forward tubes were also checked and found to be dry. Desiccant was replaced in some of the tubes where it had disintegrated.
In the control room (L to R) Dan Dreisbach, John Kill and Bob "Hoppy Poppy" Pleau work on the sound powered phones. While the system was never made operational, possible problems were narrowed down. We needed an IC rate really bad!!
On the left, John Cole is exploring Torsk's pump room. He took a look at the hydraulic pumps and accumulator, refrigeration plant, and low pressure blower. (He sure looks happy!!!!) On the right, John is in the #1 torpedo tube. John & Ray, did this tube check out? Where is that firing key????
