On the Wednesday before the work weekend, several of us met at Matt's shop to work on the mess benches. Paul Meinke also arrived with a truck load of Sailfish parts, including the bubble!

Greg got to work cleaning up the bubble.
Matt prepares to weld an end cap on a bench while Gilbert smoothes out a weld on a finished bench.
Greg got most of the heavy surface dirt and some of the small scuffs off the bubble. He applied a coat of wax (as recommended by the plate attached to the frame).
